The IB Programmes at Sanderlin

James Sanderlin K-8 became an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) school in February 2007, and Middle Years Programme (MYP) school in May 2015. Together, the PYP (K–5) and MYP (6–8) provide a continuum of IB education that nurtures curiosity, inquiry, and critical thinking from kindergarten through 8th grade.

In the PYP, students explore global themes that spark curiosity and foster a love of learning. In the MYP, students deepen their understanding by connecting ideas across subjects, solving real-world problems, and taking principled action.

Guided by the IB Learner Profile, Sanderlin develops caring, knowledgeable, and globally minded young people who are prepared to make a positive difference in their communities and the world.
